Amy E. Pelissero, Ph.D.
I am a lifelong learner and educator and am committed to sharing the lessons I’ve learned. My areas of study and interest include: language and literacy education, refugee education, women’s education and feminist studies, educational justice & equity, pedagogies of love, and trauma-informed practices.
I spent many years studying the philosophies that are foundational to teaching and learning but realize that knowledge and ideas mean little until put into practice. Life provides seemingly endless opportunities to put the things we learn and believe into action. In and through daily practice, we are changed and in turn transform the world around us.
What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me—practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you. Philippians 4:9
An ounce of practice is worth more than tons of preaching. –Mahatma Gandhi
